Full Day Care Schedule Example

A period of time where students are invited to enjoy the numerous activities available in the classroom and settle into the day. The large window allows for numerous drop off periods.
The welcome circle will have a series of activities that discuss how the class is feeling, the calendar and the weather. It will be the official start of the daily schedule.
Depending on the day, your child will participate in their music, dance or drama class with an early childhood performing arts specialist.
The snack times will always begin with a trip to the bathroom and hand washing. Your child can enjoy a small snack (parent provided) and chat with their friends.
A long hour of play time outdoors rain or shine.
Coming in from the playground to use the bathroom, wash hands and prepare to eat.
Your child will prepare their own bed and enjoy a good rest. For those that don’t nap, quiet table activities will be available.
Quiet activities scheduled for students who are finished napping early. This time allows teachers to rouse sleeping students and give them time to fully wake up before moving on.
Depending on the day, season, or special occasion this is the time utilized for free play in our room where your child can explore dressing up, open ended building toys and dramatic play areas. Other times it will be when teachers create art activities where students can get messy and

A way of finishing our day with ease. Free play allows for your child a chance to unwind however they like with available activities while they await pick up.

Preschool Daily Program

Please note that this schedule will only begin once the Preschool Program has met minimum capacity. In the meantime please look at the full day schedule until noon of each day to know your child’s daily routine.
While we are asking students to arrive at 9, this window allows for late arrivals to settle in. The tinker tray is an open ended activity that allows for a quiet but creative start to the day. The materials are changed every 8 weeks to maintain interest.

This is the period of time where students will enjoy a weekly performing arts class including music, dance or theatre. It will also include a yoga class. All classes are taught by instructors from The Stage who are trained in each discipline.
The snack times will always begin with a trip to the bathroom and hand washing. The half hour duration gives enough time for students to enjoy their snacks and chat with their friends.

Students gather at a designated meeting spot or are picked up by instructors
Students partner up and follow their teacher down the designated route with a teacher placed at the back of the group. Provided students mind the Silent Zones (crosswalks) friendly conversations are encouraged.

Group 1 Outside or Visual Art/Group 2 Arts class

The groups are separated by grade level (K-2 and 3-5) while maintaining ratio. Group 1 will have outdoor time or art depending on the day. Group 2 will have their arts program for the day and enjoy a weekly session of music, dance or theatre. It will also include a yoga class. All classes are taught by instructors from The Stage who are trained in each discipline.
